Krishna Janmastami celebration on Friday 10 August 2012 at Soar valley College
This year, Krishna Janmastami was celebrated on Friday 10 August, with a wonderful evening programme at Soar Valley college from 7:15 to 9:45.

The programme started with three Aums, chanting of the Gayatri Mantra, and then by chanting of the Rudhram. Many devotees had arrived by this time and everyone joined in the chanting of 108 names - Om Sri Sathya Sai Krishnay Namah - wonderful atmosphere & wonderful vibrations in the hall!

Lovely Bhajans were then sung by the singers - generated wonderful atmosphere in the hall. And lovely vibrations ensued as a result!

After the bhajans, we were shown a video of Swami giving a discourse on Krishna Janmastami in Prashanti. And it was wonderful to hear Swami's voice reverberate around the hall!

The programme concluded with the offering of aarti. BUT THIS WAS NOT THE END! There followed Krishna's Jula Darshan - all devotees had opportunity for the jula darshan, and most were happy to be showered with 'red powder' as part of the celebration of Krishna's birthday! Good atmosphere, all conducted in a happy/jovial manner. And we ended the evening with raas/garba. A wonderful end to a very special day!

And all devotees were offered prashad of lovely ladoos as they went home!
